Linyi Customs, based on its positioning as a node city for the China-Europe Railway Express in Shandong Province, makes use of the return resources of the China-Europe Railway Express to assist Linyi in building a wood import distribution center and the largest international wood trading market in Shandong .
The policy of "one-time declaration, one-time inspection and one-time release" for imported goods by the China-Europe Railway Express is only one-third of the transportation time compared with the long cycle and insufficient capacity of sea transportation. Up to now, Linyi has opened six China-Europe railway Express routes, providing a smooth logistics channel for the import of wood from Europe and other places through these routes. To facilitate enterprises, enhance customs clearance efficiency and reduce the accumulation of goods at ports, the customs implements a "two-stage access" supervision system. The first stage determines at the port whether goods are allowed to enter the country, and the second stage determines at the destination whether goods are allowed to be sold or used in the domestic market. Liu Jianhai, the head of the Comprehensive Business Department of Linyi Customs Mall, said that under this model, imported goods can be picked up at the port first and then inspected at the destination, which can solve the problem of high detention and storage costs for enterprises at the port. Through the transportation of the China-Europe Railway Express, imported wood has truly transformed into "wood wealth", bringing business opportunities to enterprises in Linyi.
